Shares of Hybe, South Korea’s main Okay-pop company, fell almost 5 per cent on Friday morning as its common idol group NewJeans plans to interrupt up with the music powerhouse in a transfer that would spark a authorized dispute.
The band mentioned on Thursday night time that they’ll finish their unique contract with Ador, an affiliate of Hybe, because of the administration company’s alleged breach of contract. The contract was presupposed to endure till 2029.
The choice comes after months-long disputes between Min Hee-jin, the producer of the idol group and the previous chief government of Ador, and Hybe, who accused Min of making an attempt to grab management of the label.
Min has denied the accusations and Ador mentioned there was no breach of contract.
